....and she was Oh, So very very very very very very very very very very....happy.
Oh, my goodness!!! You don't know....or maybe, you do...how good it feels to be sitting here and looking at something other than just a black...cold...screen!!!
Thank you soooooooOOOoooo much for the comments here and e-mails that were waiting for me in my "in" box!!! I have missed you all terribly...and feel as if there is so much for me to catch up on.
No....I don't feel that way....I KNOW there is so much to catch up on because, thanks to my Google Reader (Jenn...you rock!!) I have 239 posts to read!!! Those plus the 204 e-mails that were downloaded may keep me pretty busy.
So...I have made a decision.....I'm just going to click all those blogs as "read" and do a whole lotta "deleting" and I'm going to pretty much count today....as a new beginning!! I'll go back and read old posts when I have the time, but for now.....I gotta post something!!!!!! :-D
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED DURING THE DURATION OF THIS COMPUTER HIATUS:
* Though I didn't like it and I was a bit testy about it....I can survive my day without checking e-mail and/or blogs everyday...twice a day. It wasn't pretty, but...I'm still here!!!
*I don't really need 8 hours of sleep to function. I am a person who can get 5 hours and wake up ready to "seize the day" and "kick some butt and take names" (after a cuppa java, of course!!). 8 hours makes Debbie sluggish and feel like she's got a hangover, even when Debbie didn't drink the night before.
*My sons watch some really stupid shows on TV. Issei finally asked me, one night, to quit asking questions and making comments...it was bothering him.
*No matter how much extra free time I have, I can always find something else to do instead of cleaning my room. Hand-in-the-air, swear to God, there are places on my tatami floor that are still green....places where no light of any kind has touched. Yes, my room is a mess...but, on the other hand....my nails have never looked better!!!
*I actually do work on the net. No...not just blogging, surfing, messaging and sending e-mails...but honest-to-goodness work. I get a lot of information from the big world out there for my classes and this week, I had to be really creative a couple of times. (Being creative can make Debbie really tired!!)
So....if you are reading this post....I missed you and I'm glad you didn't give up on me!! Now, I have to go and see what I missed on YouTube!!! :-D
But...I will leave you with this....
The other day, as we were driving in to our neighborhood, a car was coming towards us (two-way roads but really for only one car!), so I did some grumbling and reversed a bit so the other driver could get out.....5-year-old Koji was in the car with me....
Koji: (leaning up between the seats) "Good Lord. What's he doing?"
Me: (giggling) What did you say?
Koji: Good Lord. That man.
Me: Koji....."Good Lord"? Where did you hear that??
Koji: (in Japanese) My American grandma says it all the time.
So...on that note....Good Lord!! I gotta go....the Internet and all its wonder is waiting for me!!!
See you soon!!

I'm so happy you're back Debbie!!! Did it get fixed, or did you have to get a new computer?
Isn't it amazing how much time we actually have when the computer's dead?!
Heidi
Thanks Heidi!!
My computer was revived with some new parts and motherboard and a new wireless modem....she's speeding along pretty good so far...knock on wood!!
Yes...so much more free time...and still...not good at utilizing that time!! *sigh*
Have a good one!!
I spent 36 hours without a power cord. I had access to a desktop. I was a mess. Of course, I blogged about it.
I'm proud of you for coping so well, but really glad to have you back!
welcome back! You've been missed :)
welcome back, glad you're up & running again - virtually speaking of course. :o)
