Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!! So....I spent a good part of my classes talking about this lurvely event (holiday? festival? reason to drink and get crazy?) today. If anything, this proves that foreigners (us!) are just a bit crazier than what we like to believe!!! Green rivers?!?!? Green beer?!?! Parades and leprechauns?!?! I love it!!!
So...I'm now more homesick than what I have been in a very long time!!! If I were in the States, I'd probably be drinking one (or three) of the these...
And I would be wearing, any one of these t-shirts:

Sounds cool. For you. I don't drink. I wouldn't. St. Pat's day, to me, is just a reason to pinch people and wear green. =] Funny shirts, though. I forgot to wear green today, so I drew a smiley in green marker on my pants. I didn't get pinched.

I remember in school I always had a "secret weapon" when it came to wearing green....my eyes are green and I would get to pinch back!!! Smart thinking using the marker...wonder what your Mom thought of that?!?!?! :-D
I'm apparently the only person in my college that won't be going out getting drunk on green beer tonight. Oh, the indignity of needing a full night's sleep and no hangover to be functional the next day!
I hear ya about being homesick. I'm from Dublin(Ireland) & I'm totally missing being at home with friends & family for Paddy's day.
Ah well!
