Ashley Judd and The Rock Visited by Tooth Fairy
Ashley Judd and Dwayne Johnson will star in the forthcoming 20th Century Fox romantic comedy, The Tooth Fairy. Filming begins in Vancouver this October, with Michael Lembeck, known for his family comedies, directing. Blumhouse and Mayhem Pictures will produce the film.
Johnson, formerly known as "The Rock," will star as minor league hockey player Derek Thompson, who is nicknamed "The Tooth Fairy" since his specialty is knocking out the teeth of opposing players. He embarks on a mission to save a race of tooth fairies from extinction after he is forced to complete a week of labor as a tooth fairy himself. Judd will play a single mom with two children who is also the girlfriend of Johnson's character. English songbird Julie Andrews has been cast as the Tooth Fairy department supervisor who is overseeeing Thompson's case. Word is Johnson will be forced to wear a tutu on screen.
