Grandma's funeral was on Tuesday morning. My mom said that it was beautiful..as well it should have been.
My family in Colorado has spent many hours, I'm sure, talking about Grandma...reminiscing about when we were younger...laughing......and crying.
Writing that post was my way of joining those conversations without actually being there. I needed to talk about her and my blog was the best way to do that.
Thank you for reading....thank you for your love and sympathy.
One of my cousins asked if they could read what I had written at the funeral and even though it was not written for that purpose, I was honored that they asked.
I'm even more honored that my brother was the one to read it. Grandma would have liked that.

I didn't get a chance to comment on your other post, but I wanted to give you ((hugs)) too.
I'm not at all surprised they wanted to read your amazing, thoughtful post at her funeral. You brought it all home for all of us, even though we didn't know her. And that photo of the Boy and the flowers? Too totally adorable.
Big smile. I'm still sending you hugs. I know what it's like and I can't imagine living so far away to not be able to go.. My heart is with you.

Absolutely adorable picture! Also sending hugs.
I'm so glad you got to "be there" after all. I hope the warm memories and cyber hugs help.
I'm so sorry to hear that your grandmother passed away! I didn't read your previous post until now otherwise I would have commented earlier. Big hugs from here as well!
Koji picked out pretty flowers for the mama. :)
Still sending you hugs :-)
Very touching....glad that you were there in *sprit* with your family. It is hard to be at a distance.
Take care, Suz
You're amazing, you know that?
Get really busy for a few days and it seems you've missed so much.
The post was perfect for a memorial--you wrote it beautifully.
Koji looks so cute with those flowers, your shoes are great and I have a patio just like the one in the pic in my backyard--there's a seat with your name on it.
