So there I was....about 2:47 this afternoon, I had just gotten back from a class with about 5 minutes to spare before I had to leave again for Issei's school for my "sometimes" Parent Duty (walking the 1st and 2nd graders that live in our neighborhood to their homes....for safety reasons)....I was searching frantically in a PMS-induced frenzy for something that would tide me over...when I found a lone Dove Chocolate amongst my "hidden stash" in the bottom of the fridge...and this was written on the inside of the wrapper:

Dear Mom,

Remember when we were shopping right before the boys and I left last summer, filling up our carts with a year's supply of all those items that I might be able to find here in Japan, but they really just aren't the same ? Well....whatever the number was we decided should last a year of these......
It's the beginning of June....we won't be home until the end of July...the rainy season is about to start and after that the heat and the humidity (oh Lord!! The humidity!!!!) will hit.....and I just popped the plastic top of my last one this morning....me thinks I might be needing one more....ya know...just to be safe!!!
(I would hate to arrive in Denver with an odoriferous air about me!!!)
Love ya!! *mwah*!!

No deodorant in Japan?!
HEY! I want to hear about the first crush!
Tease...
i really remember my first crush. mmmm.
Do they not sweat in Japan? I don't get it.
Psst...come click my button at my site, k?
Bwahahahahaha! I'd DIE without deodorant! Hell, I'd DIE w/o chocolate too. Nice to know you've got your ducks in a row. ;)
Nothing like some chocolate and a good trip down memory lane to make you smile!
Crushes, chocolate, and deoderant... all the basics of life.
Thanks for entering my contest. I knew that I could count on you to have a US address to ship to!
So then what is deoderant in Japan like?
Heh! I used to bring all sorts of things with me from Norway to Canada. Not because they don't have similar products here, but because the Norwegian ones are superior (to me). Things like chocolate, chocolate, some more chocolate and then DEODORANT.
Wish you'd have told me about your little dilemma earlier, and I would have set you up with some good stuff from Norway. As it is, I'm happy to send you the adequate Canadian stuff...interested?
Heidi :)
Is it just the brand, or it is deodorant at all?! That would be just, well, yuck!
