Take one independent, creative 7-year-old b0y....

....and you get this......

....the perfect one bedroom flat, complete with desk, bugs, some snacks, books...all the things an enterprising young man needs....
And FYI....just in case you're wondering....he has a futon that he puts on the floor to sleep on.
Of course, that futon, folded up during the day--doubles as an easy-chair up there for him.
If he asks me for a small refrigerator and a TV, I'm going to have to say "no".

Ah, come on mom, everybody needs their own fridge. At least he's not asking to have girls over yet.
I love him. My girls do the same thing...but I have yet to embrace this.
I like it. I want a space like that, too!
Haha, he's sorted!
AWESOME! And this is just what GemSprightly has done with her top bunk -except it's WAY messier and needs excavated soon.
Having our own space is important. We know that's true.
He needs to become an interior designer for small spaces--he's good.
Very clever. As for the fridge...so long as he's not storing beer in it... ;)
